Back in 2006, I was in between projects when, business communications expert, Silvia Cambie, invited me to co-author the social media sections of a business book for communications professionals and senior business executives. Given my love of blogging, podcasting and social media generally, I naturally jumped at the opportunity.
Over the next 18 months, I had a fascinating and very fun time researching how businesses and communities have been using social media to develop their communications strategies, speaking to and emailing a range of people around the world, including a journalist in Burkino Faso, the CEO of a health focused social network in Texas, litbloggers in Malaysia and learning about how social media is being used by animal welfare groups in China.
International Communications Strategy is published by another top UK publisher, Kogan Page, and was nominated for the FT Goldman Sachs Business Book Award.
